On a recent visit to Las Vegas, I saw Siegfried’s and Roy’s  ‘Secret Garden’. There I found all sorts of exotic animals…

Like this beautiful spotted leopard...and

the rare White Lion...or

the reclusive White Lion…and

some playful lady dolphins...or

some playful lady dolphins.

They even have a retired white Tiger.

I even tracked down a retired white Tiger. But the rarest of the rare was without a doubt…

After many years of writing short romance story for magazines and being published in several anthology books, most notably the Adams Media Cup of Comfort series, I decided to start my own blog. Though I'm Ohio born and raised, I've called the Chicago suburbs home for most of my adult life. Married to the same guy for over 40 years, yikes, indeed, we've got two grown kids, one pTiny pTerodactyl grandson, two cats and one big dog.     Sigried and Roy, I don’t know much about them but mom says they were a huge thing but since the one was attacked she has not heard a peep about them. I guess they are still there and still have big kitties.

      Hey Emma,tell your Mom that my understanding is that they’ve retired from showbiz, but are still active in the conservation of big, especially white, cats. Their ‘garden’ at the Mirage–where these photos were taken–is just lovely. Those cats look very content. Thanks for stopping by.

    Great pictures! I wish I had known. We were in Las Vegas in January and we were told there was no place to go to see the cats. I bet it was amazing!

    Ha! Love that Celtic cat. :-D Great photos. My husband is friends with a guy who, with his wife, breed domesticated bengals (a cat mix with bengal in it, somehow). They’re beautiful cats … but I’m not comfortable with the mixing of something meant to be wild.
